On a memorable day, October 9, 1990, the small town of Palluruthy saw the birth of something truly beautiful: Kalamandhir. Founded by T.S. Radhakrishnan and inaugurated by his mentor, Guru Sree V.R. Surendra Nath, on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, Kalamandhir began as a humble dance school. Yet, the vision behind it always pointed to something more—a legacy that celebrated the arts as a bridge to tradition, excellence, and community.
